ComputIT has acquired CFD norway AS

It is our pleasure to announce that ComputIT has acquired and merged with CFD norway AS January 1, 2010.  By acquiring CFD norway, ComputIT becomes one of the biggest industrial CFD companies in Norway with high-level international competence and broad experience in solving industrial flow and combustion problems by advanced CFD technology.

ComputIT will continue to further develop CFD norway’s activities, focusing on the importance of flow dynamics in general industrial design and operations. The acquirement is strengthening the overall competence of the company and we believe that our customers will benefit strongly by the merger.

ComputIT has internationally leading competence in numerical modeling of turbulent combustion.  ComputIT´s main market is the international oil and gas industry and, in particular, offshore safety and environment i.e., fires, gas leaks, dispersion of particulate matter, interaction between fires and structures, emissions to the atmosphere from industrial combustion and other related physical phenomena.

The four Sereptas jars in our logo are symbolically filled with the matters known from the antiquity (earth, water, air and fire) and shall symbolize resepectively CFD norway’s four areas of activities, i.e. flow induced vibration, hydrodynamics, aerodynamics and aerothermodynamics based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
