Anders Östman received his Master of Science in Engineering degree in vehicle engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm in 1996. He then received a position as scientist at FFA, The Aeronautical Research Institute of Sweden, at the department of wind energy. Among others he worked with aeroelastic simulations of wind turbines.
He is since 1998 involved in a dr.ing.-program at NTNU, with Professor Helge Nørstrud as supervisor. The research involves modelling of free surface flows.
